What is Ready Set Code all about?
In this digital age, STEAM skills are not just an asset but a necessity. At Ready Set Code, our commitment extends beyond the classroom. Who is the Ready Set Code target audience?
Ready Set Code courses are designed for students in Kindergarten – 8th Grade and are open to everyone.
Are you affiliated with APS Training Academy?
APS Training Academy is our sister organization that offers FREE STEAM education for those who meet residency and income conditions governed by grant funding. Through our three years serving the city of Aurora, we received many requests for advanced, specialized courses. We are meeting that demand by offering enriching and affordable courses through Ready Set Code.

Are there any prerequisites for enrolling in your programs?
The Beginner level courses are open to everyone. Intermediate and Advanced courses require prior completion of Ready Set Code courses or authorization from the Program Director.

What is the class size?
Our student/teacher ratio is generally 6:1. We allow up to 12 – 15 students in each classroom.
What are the benefits of enrolling in your STEAM programs?
Multiple studies show the benefits of exposing young learners to STEAM concepts. We want to uncover your child’s potential and set them on a career path with exponential opportunities.
What learning techniques do you use?
We assist students in arranging tasks to turn learning complex ideas into an enjoyable and approachable experience. Instructional Strategies include vocabulary walls, the use of pictures and visual aides, visual timers, differentiated instruction and projects, goal setting, support with time management and problem-solving, and giving students opportunities to move when needed.
Is financial aid available?
We offer financial aid based on income criteria through our sister organization – APS Training Academy.
What is the program schedule?

How can parents track their child’s progress?
Ready Set Code uses Google Classroom. Any instructional materials, such as tutorials or homework, can be accessed there. Instructors will send home periodic progress reports.
How can I enroll my child in your programs?
Fill out a registration form on any course page.
What is your refund/cancellation policy?
At Ready Set Code, we understand that unexpected situations can arise and we genuinely care about our customers’ well-being. If you encounter extenuating circumstances beyond your control, such as a medical emergency or unexpected life event, please reach out to us. We’ll carefully consider your situation on a case-by-case basis and do our best to assist you.
Can you accommodate students with mobility limitations?
Our restrooms and classrooms are ADA-compliant. Please inform our staff of your needs and we will be ready to assist you.
Can you accommodate students with different learning styles?
As educators, we understand that every student is unique. Our programs are made to fit various learning styles. If you are concerned about your student’s individual needs please reach out to our Program Director at [email protected]. We will make every effort to ensure each student feels comfortable and is given the opportunity to be successful.
Can you bring your programs to schools or organizations?
